Who I serve

This is for you if

  1. 01 There’s one thing that has been on your list for months. The day to sit down and finish it never arrives.
  2. 02 The business has outgrown the website. It was built when you were a smaller version of this.
  3. 03 People are searching for exactly what you do, and finding someone else.
  4. 04 Leads come in and then they sit. A missed call, a form you never saw. It all runs through you, and you know that isn’t sustainable.
  5. 05 You’ve worked with agencies before. The deliverables came. The thinking didn’t.

Any one of these is enough to start. You don’t have to know which piece you need.

Real Results & Real Stories

People I’ve built with.

They built an entire business ecosystem for me, not just a website. They created automation campaigns that brought my database back to life, built funnels for recruiting and clients, and made everything plug-and-play. I used to spend hours doing admin work, now it’s all automated. Website: 10. Creativity: 10. Backend systems: 10. They’re incredible to work with and worth every penny.

the strategic & the sacred

Hi, I’m Melanie.

You’ve built something real. Your clients trust you and the work is good, but somewhere along the way you became the system, and nothing was ever built to hold it all but you.

I’ve spent 18+ years inside businesses of every kind. I started as a graphic designer and grew into web development and strategy, building for nonprofits and law firms and coaches and e-commerce stores and service companies, for Dr. Mehmet Oz’s nonprofit and a nationwide law firm radio program, and for my own video production company that took me all over. And all of it showed me one thing: every business has the same anatomy, and when yours lines up with its own patterns, the whole thing softens into flow.

So that’s what I do. I see where the pattern is out of balance, usually before the owner does, and then I build the fix myself. Strategist and designer in the same person, custom, like a boutique. Nothing you get from me was made for anyone else.

Let’s bring it into form.

How I work

Three ways to work together.

Every engagement starts with a conversation. The right structure depends on where the business is, what’s in place already, and what the next chapter asks for.

By the Day

Maker Day

One maker day, fully embedded. We take one focused thing and move it all the way forward in a single sitting. Strategy, brand, copy, or build, whatever the day calls for. For when you need momentum, not a long engagement.

How I look at a business

However we work together, I’m looking at all five.

These are the five elements I look for in every business I work on, in the order living things get built. A single day might only touch one of them. A bigger project moves through all five. Either way this is the lens, so even a one-day fix gets made with the whole picture in view.

Before anything takes form, there is essence. The voice, the visual language, the way the work feels when someone meets it. We bring the soul of the business into form first, so everything built after it carries the same spirit and people recognize it the moment they see it.

Where the spirit meets the world, a blueprint forms. We get clear on what the business actually is, who it serves, and where it's going, so every decision after this one has a frame to stand inside of. Nothing gets built before this is clear.

The bones that carry everything. Website, CRM, automations, AI, integrations, the whole stack, built and connected so the system actually runs without you pushing it forward every day. This is the structure the business lives inside of.

What the living thing produces. Priced, positioned, and communicated so the right people say yes and the wrong people self-select out. The offer is where the business meets the bank account.

Once it's all built, it calls people in. Posts, content, channels, the way you get found by people and now by AI too. The brand reaches the people it's meant to serve, consistently and on purpose, instead of waiting to be discovered.

Ways to work together7 questions
Which one of these do I actually need?+

Short version. A Maker Day if there is one thing that keeps not getting done and you want it finished. The Bigger Build if the business has outgrown the website and there is more to explain now than the site can hold. The Growth System if leads are going cold, or you simply do not want to be the person keeping tools working.

If none of those is obviously you, take the Prism Reading. It is thirteen questions, about two minutes, and it ends by naming one of the three and telling you why. Free, and the reading is yours either way.

What is a Maker Day?+

One working day of my time, fully embedded in your business, for $555. We take the thing that has been sitting on your list and move it all the way forward in a single sitting. Strategy, brand, copy, or build, whatever the day actually calls for. Days run on Tuesdays and Thursdays, a $189 deposit holds your date, and the balance is due on the day itself.

It is the smallest door, and people come through it for two different reasons: the need is real but a project or a monthly is not possible right now, or nothing is broken and they want one thing taken up a level. Both are the right reason. See Maker Day.

What is the Bigger Build?+

My by-the-project work, $1,500 to $3,000, four weeks start to finish. It is for an established business with more going on than a single day can hold: more pages, more services, more that has to be explained properly before someone buys. We begin with a conversation about how the business actually runs, and the structure and the writing come out of that. Then the build, whatever has to run behind it, and the launch.

You get one flat number before anything starts, not a range, and a $499 deposit holds your start date. I do not count revision rounds: while the project is running we work on it until it is right. See the Bigger Build.

What is the Growth System?+

A professional website with the machinery running underneath it, for a flat $297 a month, no setup fee, no contract. A missed call gets a text back in seconds. A new lead, from your form, your ad, or your DMs, gets answered at midnight before they move on to someone else. A happy client gets asked for a review right when the job wraps, the order lands, or the program ends. And every conversation from every channel lands in one inbox on your phone.

It is built for owner-led businesses of every shape, whether you run a service company, an online shop, or a coaching and personal brand. It is also the right answer if you would simply rather not be the person keeping tools working. It starts with a free homepage redesign, so you see the work before you spend a dollar. See the Growth System.

Can I add SEO to any of them?+

Yes, and that is exactly how it is meant to work. SEO & AI Search is $300 a month, and it bolts onto whichever of the three you start with. It is not a replacement for any of them, because a site nobody can find and a site that says the wrong thing are two different problems.

Not everyone needs it. If your work already comes through referral and word of mouth, this is not urgent. It becomes urgent when people are out there searching for exactly what you do and finding someone else. See SEO & AI Search.

Is the free homepage redesign really free?+

Yes, completely. You send me your website, and within a few days I send back a custom homepage concept, desktop and mobile views, with the copy written for the new layout. No credit card, no obligation, and the concept is yours to keep whether we ever work together or not.

Why free? Because showing beats telling. If you love what you see, the Growth System is how the design becomes a real, working site. And if you don't, you still walk away with a professional concept and a clearer picture of what your website could be.

What happens after the work is done?+

Nothing you have to buy. After a Bigger Build the site is finished and it is yours, on your domain, and if you ever want to leave you take it with you. One-off changes after launch are $150 an hour, quoted before I start. After a Maker Day, if your site stays where it already lives, there is no monthly from me at all.

If you want the site hosted and maintained, there are monthly plans and they are optional. The Growth System is the only one of the three that is a monthly by design, and it has no contract, so leaving is a decision rather than a negotiation.

Working with a fractional CMO4 questions
What does a fractional CMO do?+

A fractional CMO is a senior marketing leader who joins your business part time, holding the strategy, the brand, and the marketing systems the way a full time CMO would, without the full time salary. You get executive-level thinking at a fraction of the cost and the hours.

Most fractional CMOs stop at the thinking. I think and build. The strategy, the brand, the website, the automations, one partner carrying the whole thread, so nothing gets lost between the plan and the execution.

How much does a fractional CMO cost?+

Most fractional CMOs charge somewhere between $3,000 and $12,000 a month, depending on how much of the marketing they hold. The range is wide because the role scales, from a few hours of strategic advisory to fully leading the whole function.

I work four ways, and every one of them has a number: a Maker Day at $555, the Bigger Build at $1,500 to $3,000, the Growth System at $297 a month, and SEO & AI Search at $300 a month as an add-on to any of them. Ongoing fractional CMO leadership is quoted separately, and it usually grows out of a Bigger Build rather than starting cold.

What's the difference between a fractional CMO and a marketing agency?+

An agency sells deliverables. A fractional CMO owns outcomes. When you hire an agency, you usually still have to be the strategist, feeding them direction and hoping the pieces add up. A fractional CMO sits on your side of the table, holds the whole picture, and is accountable for whether the marketing actually works.

Many of my clients come to me after agencies. The deliverables came, the thinking didn't. That gap is exactly the job.

When is a business ready for a fractional CMO?+

When the business is real and you are the thing holding it together. Steady revenue, work that is genuinely good, and a strategy that lives mostly in your head, scattered across tools and half-built systems. That is the moment. Before then, you likely need execution help, not senior leadership.

And if what your business mainly needs is the phone answered, the reviews asked for, and the leads followed up, you don't need a fractional CMO yet. You need the Growth System, and it's built exactly for that. Either way, the discovery call takes thirty minutes, and you leave knowing what to build first, whether or not we work together.

How I work5 questions
What is the Solaris Method?+

Solaris Method is the practice of Melanie Fisher, a fractional CMO and creative director who applies the patterns of nature and sacred geometry to make businesses simple, clear, and whole.

Every engagement moves through five elements, in the order nature builds anything: the Brand, the Plan, the Tech, the Offer, and the Signal, taking a business from a hazy picture to a clear, expressed, working whole. A Maker Day might touch one of them. A Bigger Build moves through all five. The Growth System packages the same thinking at a flat monthly rate. The name means pathway to the sun.

What is GEO, and can AI find my business?+

People still Google, and Google still matters. But now there's a second front door: people ask ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity who to hire, what to buy, and who does what, and even Google itself now answers with AI before it shows a single link. Those systems answer with whoever they can read clearly. GEO, generative engine optimization, is the work of making your business legible to them: one identity said the same way on every surface, structured data underneath your pages, answers written so a machine can lift them whole, and your name showing up in rooms you don't own.

Most businesses have no idea what AI says about them, and for many the answer is nothing at all, or worse, something outdated. This is the work inside SEO & AI Search, $300 a month, and I run it on my own business first, measuring every month how the AI systems describe me and watching the answer sharpen. Ranking on Google still matters. But now it's half the job, and the other half is being the answer.

How do you use AI without my brand becoming AI slop?+

One rule, held hard: AI carries the weight, never the voice. The automations, the follow-up, the data, the scheduling, the first drafts, the invisible load that used to eat your week, AI holds all of it now, and holding it is liberation. That's the point of the technology, to hand the heavy things to the machine so you can be more present, not less.

But the visible part stays you. Your face on camera, your actual voice, the phrase only you say, the pause in a strange place. The internet is drowning in flawless, interchangeable, machine-written content, and it converts worse every month precisely because it is everywhere. What's rare now is a real person, and what's rare is what wins. So we automate the load and protect the human. That is the whole philosophy.

What tools do you build on?+

Two anchors, chosen after years of testing. GoHighLevel is the container: your website, CRM, email and text, calendars, pipelines, and automations in one connected system instead of ten subscriptions taped together. When a lead comes in at midnight, it gets answered, tracked, followed up, and booked without you touching it. The Growth System runs on this same container, which is why it can do so much for $297 a month. Search Atlas is the visibility layer behind SEO & AI Search: deep technical SEO plus AI visibility tracking, so we can see exactly how ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity describe your business and move that answer on purpose.

Around those two sits the AI layer itself, the models, the automations, and when a business is ready for it, a second brain: an organized, living memory of everything your company knows, so the knowledge stops living only in your head. Tools change fast and I test constantly, so the specific stack evolves. What doesn't change is the pattern: one system, connected, carrying the weight, built so it holds without you.

Do I own my website, and can I keep it where it is?+

You own it, and the domain stays in your name. For a Maker Day I can work inside whatever you already have, WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, and leave it exactly there, with no monthly from me. For a Bigger Build I can build on your current platform or host it myself, and I will show you both numbers so you can choose.

The Growth System is the one exception worth understanding: it runs on my container because that is what makes the machinery underneath the site possible at that price. The site is still yours and the domain is still yours.

The thinking behind it4 questions
How does a fractional CMO apply biomimicry to a business?+

Biomimicry just means building systems that mirror how nature already works. And nature has been running the longest R&D lab on earth, 3.8 billion years of testing what survives and what wastes energy, so when a pattern lasts that long, it lasts because it gets results with the least effort.

Applied to a business, it looks like this: honeycomb thinking builds offers and systems with maximum strength and minimum waste. Root system thinking builds the unseen foundations, the finances, the automations, the handoffs, so the visible growth actually holds. Mycelium thinking builds referral networks that feed you before you need them.

What my clients feel is not more nature metaphors in their meetings. It's simpler. Fewer moving pieces, clearer decisions, a business that runs without every thread passing through them, and better numbers because nothing is leaking energy. The sacred part is real and I never hide it. But the reason established founders hire me is that the systems work, and their life gets easier while the results get bigger.

What is biomimicry in business, in plain terms?+

Biomimicry means solving problems by borrowing designs nature already tested. It is an established field, not a metaphor. Engineers reshaped Japan's bullet train after the kingfisher's beak. Velcro came from a burr caught in a dog's fur. Nature has run billions of years of trial and error, and what survived is what worked.

In business, it means building your systems to mirror those proven patterns. Growth that spirals and returns to center instead of sprinting in a straight line. Networks that feed before they extract. Foundations as deep as the ambition above them. Nothing about it requires you to be spiritual. It requires you to want systems that hold.

Why does everything in my business run through me?+

Because your business grew around you the way an ecosystem grows around a keystone species, and no one ever decided it should. In nature, a keystone is the one presence holding the whole system together, and when everything depends on a single node, the system looks stable right up until that node is exhausted.

It is not a character flaw and it is not poor discipline. It is a structural pattern, and structural patterns have structural answers: containers, handoffs, and systems built so the weight is held by the web instead of by you. That is most of what the Growth System is actually for.

How do I build a business that doesn't depend on me for everything?+

Start below the surface. A tree's roots run as wide as its canopy, and businesses topple when the visible growth outruns the invisible infrastructure. So the order matters: document what only you know, automate what repeats, hand off what is documented, and only then add more growth on top.

That is most of what I actually build for clients. Not more marketing on a shaky base, but the root system underneath it, the CRM, the automations, the brand clarity, so the business holds its own weight, and you get your life back while the results improve.
